Lucid Transmissions Privacy Policy
How the Lucid Transmissions publishing app uses Google user data, in plain language.
Last updated: October 16, 2026
Who operates the app
Lucid Transmissions is operated by Lucid Ventures LLC. Its publishing app uploads the outlet's films to the YouTube channel @lucidtransmissions and manages them there. The app uses the YouTube API Services.
The only Google account that signs in to the app is the channel owner's own. The app acts on that one channel and refuses to act on any account that does not own it. No one else signs in, and the app collects nothing about the people who watch the films.
What Google user data the app accesses
The app asks Google for two permissions, and no others:
Manage the channel's YouTube account (YouTube Data API). The app uses it to check that the signed-in account owns the channel, reading the channel's ID and handle; to upload films, each first as private; to set each film's thumbnail from a frame of the film itself; to change a film's privacy between private, unlisted and public; to add a correction to a film's description; and to read back each film's upload and processing status, privacy, AI-content and made-for-kids settings, age rating, title, description and tags. It does not read or post comments, captions or ratings, does not change playlists, and does not delete videos.
View the channel's YouTube Analytics reports (YouTube Analytics API, read only). This is for reading the channel's own performance figures, such as views, to improve future films. As of the date above, the app does not yet read any analytics.
What the data is used for
Publishing and managing the channel's own films, and reading the channel's own analytics to improve future films. Nothing else. The actions the app takes on the channel owner's behalf are the ones listed above: uploading films, setting thumbnails, changing privacy and adding corrections.
How it is stored and protected
The credential Google issues when the channel owner signs in is stored as an encrypted secret in the operator's Microsoft Azure account and is used only by the publishing job. It is not kept on any computer after sign-in, and the app keeps it out of its records and logs.
What the publishing job does, and the video details it reads back from YouTube, are stored as the outlet's records in a private Microsoft Azure storage account that only the operator's own systems can reach. Microsoft Azure encrypts both at rest. Copies of some of these records are kept on the operator's own computer. There is no automatic deletion period: records are kept until the operator deletes them, including on request (see below).
Sharing
Google user data is not sold or shared with anyone, and it is not used for advertising. It is not sent to any AI model and is not used to train one. Microsoft Azure hosts the data on the operator's behalf, as described above. The app shows no advertising, lets no third party serve content, places no cookies, and collects nothing from anyone's device.
Limited Use
Lucid Transmissions' use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Revoking access and deleting data
The channel owner can revoke the app's access at any time from the Google security settings page at https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions. Once access is revoked, the app can no longer reach the channel: its next run fails and stops, and it does nothing further on the channel until the owner signs in again.
Revoking access does not by itself delete the records already stored. To have them deleted, email DMT@LucidDataMind.com. Deleting the app's records does not affect anything stored by YouTube.
Google and YouTube
Lucid Transmissions uses the YouTube API Services. Google's handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy, and use of YouTube is governed by the YouTube Terms of Service.
Changes and contact
If the app's use of Google user data changes, this policy is updated before the new use begins. Questions or complaints about these practices go to DMT@LucidDataMind.com.
The app's home page is Lucid Transmissions, and its use is governed by the Lucid Transmissions Terms of Service. This site's own Privacy Policy covers LucidAgentMind.
